From April 22 to 23, the fifth MPAcc Student Case Competition in Hubei Province was successfully held in Yangguang Campus of Wuhan Textile University. This competition is sponsored by Hubei Province MPAcc Alliance, undertaken by Wuhan Textile University, and co-organized by Wuhan CAITONG Education Technology Co., Ltd. Since the beginning of competition in December 2022, it has lasted for 5 months and received case reports from total 34 participating teams of 18 MPAcc training units in Hubei Province. The organizing committee of competition selected 22 participating teams to advance to the second round, and after a duel, 12 participating teams were determined to advance to the final.

On April 22, opening ceremony of the competition was successfully held in T201 Lecture hall, Chongzhi Building, Wuhan Textile University. Feng Jun, Vice President of Wuhan Textile University, Zhang Jun, Deputy Director of the Degree and Postgraduate Department of Hubei Provincial Department of Education, Guo Yujie, Deputy Director of the Accounting Department of Hubei Provincial Department of Finance, Huang Wei, Secretary General of Hubei Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Zhang Dunli, Chairman of the Professional Degree Alliance of Master of Accounting in Hubei Province, Dean of the Accounting School of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, doctoral supervisor, etc. attended the opening ceremony, and the Secretary General of the National Accounting Professional Postgraduate Education Steering Committee Zhi Xiaoqiang, Distinguished Scholar and Distinguished Professor of Renmin University of China, and Doctoral Supervisor, simultaneously attended online, with expert evaluation from industry elites from finance, accounting, communication, and other units, as well as guidance teachers and participants. The opening ceremony was presided over by Du Guoliang, secretary of Accounting School of Wuhan Textile University.

Feng Jun, on behalf of Wuhan Textile University, extended a sincere welcome to the guests. Feng Jun introduced the development situation, achievements, and disciplinary construction achievements of school. He stated that the school has always adhered to the disciplinary construction concept of "leading by one, advancing in diversity, highlighting characteristics, and promoting coordinated development", implemented the fundamental task of "cultivating morality and people", adhered to the "five educations" and innovated the "five ideological and political", constructed a "output oriented" talent training system, and vigorously carried out the construction of "new engineering and new humanities", cultivated an innovative culture and focused on composite and applied innovative talents with comprehensive development in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor. Feng Jun sent a message, hoping to use this competition as an opportunity to resonate in communication, gather wisdom in collisions, continuously improve practical analysis ability, knowledge application ability, and innovation ability, and contribute to improving the quality of accounting professional talent training.

Zhang Jun, on behalf of the Hubei Provincial Department of Education, expresses sincere gratitude to the National Accounting Professional Degree Graduate Education Guidance Committee for its long-term care and guidance on graduate education in Hubei Province. He pointed out that the integrated strategic layout of education, technology, and talent promotes the reform of the training mode for accounting graduate students, and promotes the deep integration of politics, industry, academia, research, and application. At present, the technological and industrial revolutions have driven the emergence of new technologies, formats, and applications, making the demand for high-quality, composite, and application-oriented accounting talents even more urgent. Guo Yujie highly appreciates the preparation and hosting of this competition. This competition hosting successfully will play a key role in improving students' practical application ability, promoting the depth of integration between industry and education in the teaching team, and optimizing the quality of education and teaching reform. To learn knowledge, it is important to practice with a down-to-earth approach. Guo Yujie pointed out that she hopes all MPAcc training units will adhere to integrity and innovation, work hard, and comprehensively promote the high-quality development of the accounting industry. She also hopes students will be willing to take responsibility, dare to act, and do well, and use their professional strength to contribute to the development of the accounting industry.

Huang Wei affirmed the hosting of this competition and expressed gratitude to the experts who have long supported the Institute of CPA. He said that at the critical moment of enabling the Digital transformation of the accounting industry, the holding of this contest is of great significance to highlight the characteristics of MPAcc colleges' application-oriented talent training. CPA, as the maintainers of the order of market economy entities, are an indispensable and important component. He looks forward to young students visiting accounting firms on site and jointly exploring industry development.

Zhang Dunli reviewed the development process of Hubei Province MPAcc Alliance. He introduced the developing about all previous MPAcc student case contests and organization of this contest. He pointed out that the contest is an important channel for extensive exchanges and in-depth cooperation among colleges and universities, and also a broad stage for accounting students to show their own style and highlight their youthful vitality. He hopes universities will take this competition as an opportunity to implement the development concept of "innovation, collaboration, and win-win", further strengthen academic and cultural exchanges, and create a good atmosphere for talent cultivation.

Zhi Xiaoqiang connects remotely and wishes the competition a complete success. He pointed out that the case competition can well meet the needs of local economic development, and the chain drive national economic growth. He provided a deep interpretation of the positioning of this competition, allowing the students present to better understand the significance and connotation of this competition. He hopes that everyone can demonstrate an international perspective, delve into China land, and cultivate innovative abilities.

After intense semi-finals competition, 12 teams eventually advanced to the final. In the final on April 23rd, each team showed their own style, and the atmosphere at competition was tense and intense.

The team, ChaoNengLiuZhan, from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and the team ShenCangBlue of Hubei University of Economics won the grand prize. The team XingQiuKuangHuan, from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, YouYouLuMing team, from Wuhan University of Technology, the team, HuiBuHuiDouDui, from Wuhan Textile University, and the team, ChaoYueMengXiang, from Wuhan University win the first prize. Six teams, including the ShaoNianXianFeng Team of Wuhan Textile University and the JueBuTangPing Team of China Three Gorges University, won the second prize. 11 teams, including Hongyan team of Hubei University and the team, LaoLaoDuanZhuFanWan, from Hubei University of Technology , won the third prize. 11 teams, including the team, ZuiHaoDeWoMen, of Hubei University and the team ChengFengPoLang of Hubei University of Technology, won the award of excellence. The team,  XingQiuKuangHuan, of Huazhong University of Science and Technology won the "Best Popularity Award".

22 teachers, including Wang Jiaxin of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Tang Yan, Zheng Shanshan and Huang Yixiong of Hubei University of Economics, Du Guoliang, Shi Meiyilan, Wang Zaifei and Hu Xinghui of Wuhan Textile University, won the award of excellent instructor.

Du Binghang from Hubei University of Economics, Shen Wenjun and Hu Huiying from Wuhan Textile University and Fang Hua from Wuhan University won the "Best Performance Award".

The School of Accountancy of Wuhan Textile University and Wuhan CAITONG Education Technology Co., Ltd. won the "Outstanding Contribution Award". The School of Economics and Management of Hubei Minzu University was awarded the "Best Organization Award".

On April 23rd, the competition successfully concluded. The closing ceremony was presided over by Zhao Libin, Dean of the Accountancy School of Wuhan Textile University. Relevant leaders and final judges of the Hubei Province MPAcc Alliance presented awards and took group photos for the award-winning units, players and instructors.

Long Ziwu, Secretary General of the Hubei Province MPAcc Alliance, gave a concluding speech to the competition and expressed sincere affirmation and wishes to the organizers and participants. Tan Zhixi, Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Management of Hubei Minzu University, on behalf of the organizers of the 6th MPAcc Student Case Competition in Hubei Province, expressed sincere gratitude to the alliance and other universities for their support. Subsequently, a flag competition handover ceremanceony was held.

It is reported that the Hubei Province MPAcc Student Case Competition is a student competition initiated by the Hubei Province MPAcc Alliance and jointly participated by various MPAcc training units in Hubei Province, based on the principles of "equal cooperation, mutual benefit, and fairness and openness". The competition aims to cultivate and enhance students' ability to discover, analyze, and solve practical problems in enterprises by organizing MPAcc students or undergraduate students to personally experience enterprise practices, simulate management decisions, and compete for solutions. At the same time, it promotes communication and exchange among MPAcc students from different training units, laying a solid foundation for students to participate in the China MPAcc Student Case Competition. It is of great significance to promote the reform of the education and training mode of accounting Professional degree graduates and improve their innovative spirit, scientific research ability and practical ability.
