课程描述

1.课程简介：

《专业英语》是高等院校工程管理及土木工程相关专业为培养和提高学生阅读与笔译专业英语文献的能力，了解国外工程管理领域最新发展动态和前沿知识的一门专业基础课程、为日后从事相关的工程管理工作和理论研究打下坚实的基础。

2.课程内容：

本课程内容包括The Owner’s Perspective （The Project Life Cycle、Major Types of Construction、Selection of Professional Services）；Organizing for Project Management（What is Project Management、Professional Construction Management、Leadership and Motivation for the Project Team）；Labor, Material and Equipment Utilization（Factors Affecting Job-Site Productivity、Material Procurement and Delivery、Construction Equipment）Economic Evaluation of Facility Investments（Basic Concepts of Economic Evaluation、Investment Profit Measures、Methods of Economic Evaluation）；Bidding and Tendering of Construction Project（Bidding Procedure of Construction Projects）；Contract Management of Construction Projects（Types of Agreements、The parties of Contract）；Construction planning（Basic Concept in the Development of Construction Plans、Defining Work Tasks、Defining Precedence Relationships among Activities）。

本课程旨在让学生掌握工程项目管理相关的专业英语词汇及专业知识，让学生具备阅读理解相关专业文献的能力，并掌握专业英语的使用和撰写技巧。
